Job Summary

Review and monitor the implementation of the procurement cycle policy and guidelines for the timely availability of quality goods works and services at the most competitive prices in line with Baylor Foundation-Uganda’s mission.

Overall Responsibilities

  1. Carry out market surveys and under the guidance of the Procurement manager in line with the Baylor Foundation-Uganda policy guidelines.
  2. Organize the relevant information/documents to be used in both the Evaluation and Contracts committee meetings then take and file minutes as required by Baylor Foundation-Uganda procurement guidelines.
  3. Keep and update procurement records on a quarterly basis relating to suppliers, different user department procurement needs, approved contracts as required by Baylor Foundation-Uganda procurement guidelines.
  4.  Receiving, recording and distributing incoming mails in Procurement unit in line with Baylor Foundation-Uganda procurement guidelines.
  5. Make follow up of supplies to be delivered within the stipulated delivery period according to the terms of the order/contract/agreement and give feedback to users as regards the progress of their requisitions in line with Baylor Foundation-Uganda procurement guidelines.
  6. Provide technical support to user departments in specification development and contract management in line with Baylor Foundation-Uganda procurement policy guidelines.
  7. Preparation of Purchase order documentation and contracts of goods, services and works in accordance with Baylor Foundation-Uganda procurement guidelines.
  8. Establish and document the supplier’s service delivery given the user’s remarks for future reference then prepare documents for payments to suppliers and verify the user s as per procurement manual.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

  • ·   A University degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain management, Economics, Business administration (procurement), Professional Qualifications (e.g. CIPS, CILT, IPPU)
  • ·       3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3 Years Relevant Experience

NOTE:
