Job Description
Position: Procurement Officer (1 Position)
Department: Procurement
Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain
Position Purpose:
Coordinate procurement activities, ensure compliance with procurement policies, foster vendor relationships, and support cost-saving initiatives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Cost Control & Service Delivery
-
Collaborate with internal departments to identify needs.

Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate optimal pricing.

Research and qualify new suppliers.

Identify and implement measurable cost-saving initiatives.
Inventory Management
-
Monitor trends and product availability to optimize purchasing.
-
Develop procurement and storage strategies to maintain ideal stock levels.
Documentation
-
Supervise purchasing operations and coordinate PRs and POs.
-
Ensure timely delivery and documentation of goods.
-
Update import and local procurement logbooks.
Deputizing
-
Serve as acting head of supply chain during absences.
Authorities
-
Initiate POs for approved services/materials.

Recommend vendors based on compliance and value.

Enforce GMP, GDP, and SOP adherence by suppliers.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Training Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
