Who We Are:
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) is a midstream development across Uganda and Tanzania, including a nearshore marine storage and export terminal. The project involves a 1,443 km electrically heated crude oil export pipeline transporting oil from Kabaale-Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania for international crude export.
Reports To: Logistics Manager
Job Summary:
The Senior Logistics Supervisor oversees the interface management of construction contractors’ logistics and transportation activities. Responsibilities include managing change activities, protecting the company from potential supplier claims, and collaborating with supply management leadership on development and implementation of logistics programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Execute company policies and procedures related to logistics management, including safety and ethics.
• Produce accurate logistics administration activities and timelines.
Manage and supervise changes in logistics to safeguard company interests.
• Identify and resolve logistics challenges promptly.
• Work with Supply Management and Procurement teams to align logistics with project execution.
• Supervise logistics teams and ensure adherence to compliance policies.
• Establish effective logistics leadership systems for large projects.
• Provide guidance on logistics interfaces with regional and office teams.
• Ensure compliance with HES/R3 transport requirements.
Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management.
• Professional Certification in Supply Chain Logistics.
Experience Required:
• Minimum 10 years in project traffic and logistics.
Required Competencies:
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage logistics independently.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and reporting.
